The Setup

For many years travelling to  Jamaica was NOT one of my priorities.  My thinking was it was overly marketed,

and catered to the white sand approach to tourism, which I wasn’t a fan of.  The idea of spending thousands of dollars to lay on white sand beaches as European tourist walked by in their banana hammocks was a total buzz kill.  There isn’t enough “all inclusive” alcohol in the world that eases one’s need to be off property.  As you can plausibly tell my dream vacation doesn’t include all-inclusive resorts and sitting around the beach all day.

But, in April this year my buddy Dion C. aka Cock Head called with a remarkable proposal.  Honeymoon crashing the vacation of our best buddy Curlan D. aka Pointy at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica.  So here I am ready for my first trip to Jamaica! Oh, and Pointy has no idea we were coming.  Surprise!

Travel Day

There are decent flights directly to Montego Bay Jamaica directly from the Washington, D.C. metro area.  We choose to fly Southwest from BWI because it was economical and close to home.

Day 1:  The Reveal

Finally made it to our destination and surprised the new couple!
